Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American actor-producer and stage actress is known for playing in the film Ray Undercover Brother as well as in The Mentalist. She earned an undergraduate degree in African-American Studies at Brown University, and a Master in Fine Arts in Acting at the Tisch School for the Art New York University. Aunjanue l. Ellis, an American actor and producer who has performed in theatre and television as and is present across both sides of the screen. Aunjanue L. Ellis started her acting career in the theatre. Later, she appeared in television shows in independent as well as mainstream film. The actress became well-known as Miranda Shaw, a character who appeared on ABC's Quantico. On BET's massive show The Book of Negroes she was a character. She did not only get praise from critics for her character, she also received a few awards and nominations. Her first professional performance was as Ariel, as Ariel, The Tempest. Her credits on stage include The Broadway show that Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. In her film career, she's best known for parts like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her part as a regular in ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
