Melissa Suzanne George hails from Australia and is an actor as well as a businesswoman, inventor, and model. When she began her career in her home country, she eventually moved to Hollywood and found great success there. George George was born in Perth and was initially attracted to skating, dancing and various other artsy activities. George started her modeling career at the age of in her teens and she was named Western Australia's Model of the Year Award for Teenage Model in 1992. She made her screen debut the following year in an episode of Seven Network s soap opera Home and Away . Her big screen debut was in the crime thriller Dark City and essayed various support roles in films like Alias The Limey and Down with Love prior to making her debut appearance as a female lead on a mainstream Hollywood project in the 2005 adaptation of The Amityville Horror .
